A growing accountancy team is seeking a motivated and dedicated Accounts Semi Senior or Senior to join them on a full-time basis. This role has become available due to recent expansion and offers a mix of office-based work and visits to client premises, so some travel will be required. The successful candidate will join the accounts department and take responsibility for producing high-quality work while reporting directly to Managers. This position is ideal for someone looking to progress their career within a friendly and supportive team environment. A competitive salary and study support (where applicable) are offered.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare high-quality accounts and support the wider accounts team
- Produce company tax computations and returns
- Work both in the office and at client premises as required
- Meet deadlines and manage time-sensitive tasks
- Follow internal procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues and maintain a professional approach with clients
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years accounts experience within an accountancy practice
- ACCA/ACA part-qualified, AAT qualified, or qualified by experience
- Strong IT skills, including Excel, Sage, QuickBooks, and similar software
- Experience preparing company tax returns (essential)
- Experience with personal tax returns (desirable but not essential)
- Excellent communication skills and professional presentation
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Good commercial awareness and understanding of client needs
- Willingness to travel to client sites when required
