A growing and highly successful property business based in central Harrogate is seeking a Financial Accountant to support the Head of Property and Operational Finance. This is a hands-on, varied role ideal for someone who enjoys being close to the detail while also contributing to wider financial operations and projects. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth processing of financial transactions, maintaining robust balance sheet reconciliations, and delivering accurate, insightful financial reporting. The position offers excellent exposure across the property finance function and regular interaction with senior stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting day-to-day transactional accounting and month-end processes
- Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations
- Assisting with property-related financial reporting and analysis
- Supporting finance projects and process improvements
- Collaborating closely with internal teams including AP, AR, VAT, Property and Portfolio Accountants
- Liaising with external auditors, investors and outsourced finance partners
About you:
- Proven experience within a property-focused finance role (essential)
- Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ICAEW or equivalent) preferred; QBE considered
- Strong technical accounting and reconciliation skills
- Comfortable working in a hands-on, fast-paced environment
- Confident communicator with the ability to work across teams
