Are you an experienced Private Client Tax professional looking for a senior opportunity where you can deliver specialist advice, develop strong client relationships and play a key role in the continued growth of a successful tax team? We are seeking a Private Client Tax Senior Manager to join an expanding tax function. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong tax adviser who enjoys working with complex client matters, delivering bespoke tax solutions and supporting the development of colleagues within a collaborative and ambitious environment.

You will work closely with senior stakeholders and a varied portfolio of private clients, providing proactive tax advice while contributing to business development and the continued success of the wider tax team.

The Role

As a Private Client Tax Senior Manager, you will take responsibility for managing client relationships, delivering advisory projects and supporting the growth of the private client tax offering. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing specialist private client tax advice to individuals, families and business owners.
  • Supporting the delivery of complex tax planning and advisory assignments.
  • Identifying opportunities to provide proactive tax solutions across an existing client portfolio.
  • Managing a portfolio of clients and acting as a trusted adviser on a wide range of personal tax matters.
  • Preparing proposals, scopes of work and budgets for advisory assignments.
  • Ensuring all client work is delivered to a high technical standard and within agreed deadlines.
  • Managing risk and ensuring appropriate review procedures are followed across all projects.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across tax, accounts and advisory teams to deliver a comprehensive service.
  • Supporting business development activity through networking, client meetings and identifying new opportunities.
  • Managing, coaching and developing junior members of the tax team.
  • Supporting the continued development and growth of the private client tax service line.

About You

  • CTA qualification (or equivalent) successfully completed.
  • Strong experience within private client tax advisory work, ideally gained within an accountancy practice environment.
  • Excellent technical knowledge and the ability to provide commercially focused tax advice.
  • Experience managing complex client relationships and delivering high-quality advisory services.
  • Previous experience leading, mentoring or developing junior team members.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues at all levels.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to identify opportunities and contribute to business growth.
