The Role
- Prepare statutory accounts for a diverse portfolio of clients across a variety of sectors.
- Produce corporation tax computations, VAT returns and other statutory submissions.
- Manage day-to-day relationships with clients, providing a professional and responsive service.
- Ensure assignments are completed accurately, efficiently and within agreed deadlines.
- Review the work of junior team members, offering guidance, coaching and technical support.
- Assist with improving internal processes and identifying opportunities to increase efficiency.
- Maintain accurate client records and ensure compliance with current accounting standards and regulations.
- Work closely with colleagues across the practice to deliver a high-quality service.
About You
- ACA, ACCA or AAT qualified, or currently studying towards a recognised accountancy qualification.
- Previous experience working within an accountancy practice is essential.
- Confident preparing accounts for a range of owner-managed businesses and SMEs.
- Strong working knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality work.
- A proactive approach with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to build lasting client relationships.
- Previous experience mentoring or supporting junior colleagues would be advantageous.
