We are looking for an experienced Estimator to join a busy and growing business in Richmond, North Yorkshire. This is a hands-on role, perfect for someone who enjoys analysing projects, preparing accurate estimates, and ensuring contracts are profitable. You will be responsible for compiling estimates for structural steelwork and other sub-contract works, working out project costs, and creating budgets.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assessing material, labour, and equipment requirements.
- Analysing quotes from sub-contractors and suppliers.
- Entering data into estimating software accurately.
- Coordinating with technical teams across the business.
- Liaising with clients, consultants, and other third parties.
- Organising tender enquiries and administrating tender documents.
- Collecting and distributing feedback efficiently.
- Attending meetings with potential clients across the UK when required.
What We Are Looking For:
- Several years experience in a similar construction estimating role.
- Strong maths and IT skills, with excellent problem-solving ability.
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
