We are recruiting an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a well‑established and growing manufacturing business in Middlesbrough. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands‑on engineer to maintain and improve plant, equipment, and facilities, ensuring maximum operational efficiency in a safe and dynamic environment.
The role requires a minimum 50/50 split between electrical and mechanical work, with preference given to candidates with a stronger electrical background.
Key Responsibilities:- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical equipment faults.
- Perform planned preventative maintenance and respond to breakdowns.
- Maintain and improve factory machinery, including CNC equipment.
- Undertake machining, welding, and fabrication tasks where required.
- Update documentation and support process improvements.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing techniques such as 5S, 8D, and PDCA.
- ONC / HNC or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
- Minimum 5 years experience in a manufacturing, maintenance, or engineering environment.
- Hands‑on skills in hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical diagnostics, and workshop machinery.
- Strong organisational, communication, and time‑management skills.
- Proactive can‑do attitude and willingness to take on growing responsibilities.
- 25 days holiday + bank holidays.
