An established and expanding accountancy practice is looking to appoint a Part-Qualified Audit Senior to join its growing audit team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone working towards their ACA or ACCA qualification who is looking to develop their career within a supportive and progressive firm.
You'll work with a varied portfolio of clients, taking responsibility for audit assignments while gaining exposure to a wide range of industries.
The role also offers the chance to support junior team members and continue building your technical and client-facing experience.
The Role
- Take responsibility for audit assignments from planning through to completion, working both independently and as part of a wider team.
- Visit client sites across the North East and Yorkshire to carry out audit work.
- Develop strong working relationships with clients, providing professional support throughout the audit process.
- Assist with supervising and reviewing the work of junior colleagues, offering guidance where required.
- Work closely with managers and senior staff to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
- Identify opportunities to improve ways of working and contribute ideas to enhance audit delivery.
- Make effective use of modern accounting and audit software to deliver accurate and efficient work.
About You
- Currently studying towards the ACA or ACCA qualification.
- A minimum of two years' experience within an external audit role in practice.
- Experience working with SMEs and owner-managed businesses.
- Confident managing workloads and meeting deadlines across multiple assignments.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive client relationships.
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to your work.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and audit software.
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
- Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel to client locations.
Desirable Experience
- Exposure to a variety of accounting packages and cloud-based software.
- Experience working with clients in sectors such as charities, education or professional services.
- Familiarity with recognised audit software would be beneficial.
