I am currently working with an established Accountancy Practice in Edinburgh that is looking to appoint an Accounts Assistant / Generalist Accountant to join their team.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and wants exposure to different areas of accountancy rather than specialising in one particular area. The Role
You will gain exposure to a varied portfolio of clients and will be involved in:
Accounts preparation VAT returns Bookkeeping Personal and business tax Bank and balance sheet reconciliations Management accounts Client liaison General practice accounting duties You will work closely with more senior members of the team while developing your own knowledge and responsibility across a varied client portfolio. About You
We're looking for someone with:
Previous Accountancy Practice experience Experience in accounts preparation Knowledge of bookkeeping and VAT Exposure to tax work Strong attention to detail Good communication skills The ability to manage deadlines A genuine interest in developing their accountancy career AAT qualified or studying towards ACCA/ACA would be advantageous, but relevant experience will also be considered.
