An established and growing accountancy practice is seeking an experienced Accounts Senior to join its expanding team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious accounting professional who is looking to develop their career while working with a diverse portfolio of clients and gaining exposure to a broad range of accounting responsibilities.
The successful candidate will join a supportive team environment where they will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced professionals, develop technical expertise and build strong client relationships.
The Role
- Prepare accounts for a varied portfolio of clients, including sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
- Assist with the preparation of corporation tax computations and associated compliance work.
- Complete bookkeeping assignments, VAT returns and management accounts.
- Prepare accurate financial information while ensuring work meets professional standards and deadlines.
- Assist with the submission of statutory accounts and tax returns.
- Communicate with clients to obtain information, resolve queries and provide ongoing support.
- Identify issues within client records and raise queries with senior team members where required.
- Work collaboratively with Managers and senior colleagues to deliver high-quality client service.
- Manage workload effectively to ensure assignments are completed within agreed timescales.
- Keep up to date with accounting standards, legislation and best practice.
About You
- AAT, ACA or ACCA qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience.
- Previous experience working within an accountancy practice is essential.
- Experience preparing accounts and working with a portfolio of clients.
- Good understanding of accounts production, VAT and general accounting processes.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate work.
- Confident communicator with the ability to build positive client relationships.
- A proactive and adaptable approach with strong problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working independently while also contributing positively to a wider team.
