We are recruiting an experienced Part-Time Payroll Administrator to join a well-established accountancy practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional who enjoys a varied role within a supportive and professional environment.
The Role:
You will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payrolls across a varied workload, ensuring compliance with UK payroll legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Processing weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls
- Calculating statutory payments, bonuses and holiday pay
- Submitting RTI to HMRC and ensuring PAYE/NIC compliance
- Administering workplace pension auto-enrolment
- Preparing payslips and year-end reports (P60s, P11Ds)
- Maintaining payroll records in line with GDPR requirements
- Responding to payroll-related queries
Key Requirements:
- Previous payroll experience within an accountancy or payroll bureau environment
- Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation
- Experience using payroll software such as BrightPay, Moneysoft, Sage or Xero Payroll
- High attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines independently
Desirable:
- Experience with CIS returns
- Knowledge of bookkeeping or general accountancy practices
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
