An exciting opportunity to start your career in fabrication and welding Were working with a growing company that is establishing a brand-new workshop facility in Darlington, and were looking for a motivated Graduate or Apprentice to join the team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone at the beginning of their career who is looking to develop practical welding and fabrication skills within a supportive, hands-on environment. Youll have the opportunity to learn from experienced colleagues, work on a variety of projects and play a part in developing the companys new fabrication capabilities. Whether youre a recent engineering graduate, completing an apprenticeship, or have some practical workshop experience and are looking for your next step, this could be an excellent opportunity to build your career. What youll be doing: Supporting the fabrication and welding of a range of components and assemblies. Learning to read and interpret engineering drawings. Developing practical MIG and TIG welding skills. Working with materials including mild steel and stainless steel. Assisting with the manufacture and assembly of products. Using a range of workshop and fabrication equipment. Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment. Working as part of a team while developing the confidence to work independently. Supporting different projects and gaining experience across a varied range of fabrication work. What were looking for: An interest in engineering, welding, fabrication or manufacturing. A willingness to learn and develop new practical skills. A positive, reliable and hardworking attitude. Good attention to detail and pride in your work. The ability to follow instructions and work safely. An engineering, fabrication or welding qualification/study would be advantageous, but is not essential. Some previous workshop, welding or fabrication experience would be beneficial but is not essential. Working Hours: Monday to Friday 40 hours a week flexible with start and finish times. Why join?
