Responsibilities
- Preparing year end accounts for both limited companies, LLP’s, partnerships and sole traders.
- Preparing personal and corporation tax computations and returns.
- Assisting the Partners or Senior managers with ad hoc work for clients.
- Liaising with clients over their accounts and queries.
- Managing and interacting with your own portfolio of clients to ensure monthly bookkeeping is done to high standards.
- General daily bookkeeping tasks i.e., maintaining a detailed sales ledger, preparing supplier payment runs, bank/credit card reconciliation.
- Ensuring items are processed correctly into the client's books.
- Monthly/quarterly management reports preparation and preparing VAT returns.
- Responding and actioning emails in a timely and efficient manner.
- Supporting clients in their journey to making tax digital.
Requirements
- Fully qualified/Soon to be (ACA, CA, ACCA or equivalent) or QBE.
- Previous Audit Experience minimum 1 year preferred.
- You’ll have a general practice background with good technical skills in the areas of accounts preparation and taxation.
- Proficient in the use of Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, Dext, Outlook and Excel.
- Must have knowledge of double entry, VAT and UK tax laws.
- Must have good communication skills to deal with clients and be a team player.
- Must be able to work independently – there is support available from Senior Accountants and Client Manager.
- Be confident to speak with clients in person or virtually.
- Internal career progression pathway.
- 2 hours per month CPD.
