Job Description
My client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Bursar to join their leadership team within the education sector. This is a key role responsible for overseeing the finances, resources, and operations, ensuring the effective management of budgets, facilities, and compliance.
The successful candidate will bring strong financial expertise, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to contribute strategically to the client’s long-term development.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Financial management, budgeting, and reporting
- Oversight of payroll, pensions, and income collection
- Facilities, health & safety, and operational management
- Line management of support staff and contractors
- Strategic support to the Head and Governors
About You:
- Professionally qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or with significant relevant experience
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Organised, adaptable, and able to balance strategic priorities with day-to-day operations
