A leading industrial company is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join its team. The successful candidate will maintain, troubleshoot, and improve production equipment in a dynamic industrial environment, ensuring safety, efficiency, and reliability.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and service production equipment including motors, conveyors, and transmission systems
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair machinery efficiently
- Support installation of new equipment and upgrades
- Produce maintenance reports and perform routine safety checks
- Design and fabricate parts for repairs
- Assist with apprentice training and mentoring
- Undertake general facilities maintenance
Skills & Experience:
- Proven industrial maintenance experience
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and PLC knowledge
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Basic computer and report writing abilities
- Physical fitness and ability to handle heavy equipment
Desirable:
- Experience with Fiix CMMS or similar software
- Knowledge of BRC standards
- Previous industrial environment experience
- Professional, proactive, and team-oriented
- Able to manage multiple priorities and work independently
- Energetic and enthusiastic about maintenance excellence
Position details:
- Contract: Permanent
- Salary Range: £35,000 - £45,000
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Shifts: Currently 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM / 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM (with 5:00 PM finish on Fridays). Shift patterns may vary from time to time.
