We’re recruiting on behalf of a respected and growing business in Billingham for an Estimating Administrator to support their busy office team.
This is an opportunity for someone with strong organisational skills and a proactive mindset who is looking to build a long-term career.
While this role is heavily admin-focused, there is scope for development into a more technical estimating support role for someone with the interest and ability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor shared inboxes
- Organise and respond to emails promptly and professionally
- Ensure project-related messages are flagged to the relevant team members
- Log new project enquiries using internal systems (e.g. Trello)
- Maintain and update internal registers with project timelines, key contacts, and relevant documents
- Keep internal drives and folders tidy and well-organised
- Request quotes from suppliers and track responses
- Update internal pricing tools and product lists with accurate, up-to-date costs
- Chase missing information as required
- Assist estimators with handover documents and admin tasks
- Support other departments with general administrative duties
- Contribute to keeping all internal systems organised and up to date
About You:
- Highly organised and detail-oriented
- Strong communication skills and a confident phone manner
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Previous admin experience in a busy office environment is beneficial
