An established and expanding accountancy practice is looking to recruit a Business Services Assistant Manager / Manager to join its growing team. The Role
- Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring accounts and business services assignments are delivered to a consistently high standard.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing proactive support and building long-term professional relationships.
- Review accounts preparation work and provide technical guidance to junior team members.
- Plan assignments, allocate work effectively and monitor progress to ensure budgets and deadlines are achieved.
- Support and mentor Business Services staff, helping to develop their technical knowledge and professional skills.
- Work closely with senior leadership to manage workflow and ensure excellent client service.
- Identify opportunities to improve internal processes and contribute to the continued development of the department.
- Assist with business development by identifying opportunities to strengthen existing client relationships and support the growth of the practice.
- Ensure work is completed in accordance with current accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
About You
- ACA, ACCA or ICAS qualified.
- Previous experience working within an accountancy practice in a Business Services or Accounts role.
- Experience managing a portfolio of clients and overseeing multiple assignments.
- Strong leadership skills with experience supporting and developing junior team members.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Commercially aware with a strong focus on delivering an exceptional client experience.
- Confident communicator with the ability to build lasting relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Proactive, solutions-focused and committed to maintaining high professional standards.
- A full UK driving licence would be advantageous.
