Hours: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm
We are working with an established Accountancy Practice who are looking to recruit an experienced Self Assessment Tax Officer to join their busy team.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years’ experience working within a UK accountancy practice, with a strong background in preparing Self Assessment tax returns. Experience within a practice environment is essential, as opposed to a background solely in industry.
Key responsibilities:
- Preparing and completing Self Assessment tax returns
- Managing a portfolio of several hundred clients and ensuring deadlines are met
- Applying a strong understanding of UK tax legislation and Self Assessment requirements
- Communicating effectively with clients and colleagues
The ideal candidate will have:
- At least two years’ experience within a UK accountancy practice
- Proven experience preparing Self Assessment tax returns
- A strong understanding of UK tax and Self Assessment requirements
- Proficiency in accounting software
- A relevant accounting or tax qualification, such as ATT, AAT, ACA or ACCA, or be qualified by experience (QBE)
