Stock & Pricing Analyst

We are recruiting for a Stock & Pricing Analyst to join an established business based in Hartlepool. This is a varied role that will involve analysing information, monitoring stock and pricing, supporting purchasing activity and working closely with internal teams and external suppliers.

The ideal candidate will be numerate, analytical, commercially aware and highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to make decisions in a busy environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor stock levels and identify any potential issues or opportunities
  • Review pricing, purchasing and stock information to support business decisions
  • Complete regular stock checks and reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies
  • Support purchasing and procurement activities
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure information is kept up to date
  • Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to resolve queries and ensure requirements are met
  • Monitor orders, stock availability and pricing information
  • Assist with financial and administrative processes where required
  • Produce reports and management information
  • Support audits and ensure relevant documentation is maintained
  • Assist with general commercial and operational tasks as required

Key Skills & Experience

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Commercially minded with good problem-solving abilities
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Comfortable working with spreadsheets and computer systems
  • Previous experience within an administrative, commercial, stock, purchasing or analytical role would be beneficial but is not essential
  • Relevant qualifications such as CIPS, AAT or equivalent would be advantageous
