Due to continued expansion, they are looking to welcome a talented accountant to their friendly and supportive team.

With a turnover of approximately Β£800k and a diverse portfolio of more than 400 limited company clients, alongside sole traders, partnerships, charities and not-for-profit organisations, this is an exciting opportunity to build a long-term career within a modern practice that embraces technology and values its people.

  • Preparing personal tax returns
  • Completing VAT returns and ensuring Making Tax Digital compliance
  • Managing client relationships and providing day-to-day accounting advice
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver an outstanding client experience
  • Supporting clients with cloud accounting software and improving efficiencies

This is a varied general practice role with minimal involvement in payroll or bookkeeping, allowing you to focus on higher-value client work.

About You

We're looking for someone who has:

  • At least 3-4 years' experience working within an accountancy practice
  • AAT qualification as a minimum (part-qualified or qualified ACA/ACCA candidates are also encouraged to apply)
  • Experience preparing statutory accounts, VAT returns and personal tax returns
  • Knowledge of IRIS and Xero (preferred)
  • Excellent communication, organisation and client management skills
  • A proactive, positive and professional approach
  • You'll enjoy working as part of a close-knit team and be keen to contribute to the firm's continued success.

About the Practice

Our client is committed to providing a modern, technology-led accounting service and has invested significantly in cloud-based systems and efficient working practices.

They currently use:

  • IRIS for accounts production
  • Xero as their primary cloud accounting platform
  • Sage Payroll for payroll processing
  • Their client base spans the UK, with many meetings carried out virtually.

What's on Offer?

  • Competitive salary, dependent on experience
  • Performance bonus
  • Study support for ACA or ACCA (where appropriate)
  • 22 days' annual leave plus Bank Holidays, increasing with length of service
  • Auto-enrolment pension
  • Monday to Friday working hours
  • Early 4:00pm finish every Friday
  • Modern, technology-driven working environment
  • Flexible working options available after the initial onboarding period
  • Genuine long-term career progression within a growing and successful practice

Whether you're an established Client Manager or an experienced Practice Accountant ready to take the next step, this is an excellent opportunity to join a progressive firm that genuinely invests in its people and offers long-term career development.
