We have officially wrapped principal photography on "The Unit," a feature film shot on location in Monument, London. With production successfully concluded as of April 26th, we are now entering the post-production phase and looking for a dedicated Editor to join the core creative team. This isn't just a "work-for-hire" gig; we are looking for a true storytelling partner who is passionate about the material and ready to help shape the final vision of the film.
The Role
- Managing all rushes and assembly from the recent shoot.
- Working closely with the Director to craft the narrative arc, pacing, and tone.
- Collaborating on the "final look" and feel of the feature.
- Bringing a fresh, critical eye to the footage to find the best performances and story beats.
Requirements
- Experience: Proven experience in editing narrative fiction (features preferred, but high-quality shorts or series work is welcome).
- Software: Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Avid Media Composer.
- Location: Ideally based in or near London for in-person collaboration, though remote work is negotiable for the right partner.
- Mindset: You are an artist who understands that the "final rewrite" of a film happens in the edit suite. You are comfortable working in an independent film environment.
Compensation & Partnership
- This is a profit-share partnership. We are looking for someone who believes in the project's commercial and festival potential.
- Backend Equity: A defined percentage of the filmβs net profits.
- Full Credit: Lead Editor credit on IMDb and on-screen.
