As a Lighting Technician, you will work closely with the wider team and the majority of the workload will consist of travelling and working on-site. We offer a competitive salary for this role, with scope for significant increase with overtime and allowances.
Overview
The main purpose of our Lighting Technicians is carrying out inspection and testing services, mainly on street lighting for the highways industries across the UK.
Your daily tasks
- Structural inspection and testing of highway lighting columns
- Communicating and liaison with clients and colleagues
- Recording accurately electronic test results to a high standard for reporting
- Working with our UKAS accredited systems
- Data collection of highway assets
- Be the face of Kiwa CMT when on site with customers
You’ll receive comprehensive training to ensure you have the knowledge and support needed to succeed.
Responsibilities
- Hold a Full UK Valid driving license, as you will be using company vehicles to travel to and from client sites
- Be able to work with a varied workload
- Demonstrate an interest in the field of work
- Communication is key for this role; you will be able to make an impact and work well within a team
- Willing to work away from home
- Experience in a similar or cross over role (desirable)
- Holds a HERS ECS card and the HEA NVQ level 2 qualification (desirable)
Qualifications
- £27,102 – £28,896 per annum, plus overtime opportunities
- Generous Annual Leave – Starting at 25 days plus Bank Holidays, with the option to buy additional leave and increased entitlement with length of service
- 37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday, field-based role
