The Governors at Shuttleworth College are seeking to appoint a passionate and dedicated Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead to join our safeguarding team. This role represents a rare opportunity for an experienced individual to play a vital role in ensuring that all our students are safe, supported and able to thrive both inside and outside of school.
About the Role
- Act as a central point of contact for new safeguarding concerns
- Manage a case load at level 2 on the Lancashire Continuum of Need and take a lead on all Early Help Assessments
- Make referrals to Children's Social Care, Police and other relevant agencies
- Support vulnerable families in accessing appropriate support through referrals and ongoing engagement
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of all safeguarding information on CPOMS
- Has experience of working within a safeguarding role either within a school or other relevant agency
- Is an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills
- Has experience of multi-agency working
