About the opportunity: We are seeking a Client Partner, Media (French-speaking – Growth Accounts), to own and grow a portfolio of Shutterstock’s largest and most strategic French media clients. This is a high-impact, quota-carrying role focused on driving retention, unlocking expansion, and accelerating revenue growth across complex, enterprise-level relationships.
As the Account Owner, you will act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, developing deep partnerships and aligning Shutterstock’s solutions to your clients’ evolving content, creative, and commercial needs. You will be responsible for maximizing account value through renewals, upsell, cross-sell, and long-term strategic planning, while delivering an exceptional client experience.
This role requires a strong understanding of the French media landscape, a consultative sales approach, and the ability to navigate and influence within large, matrixed organizations.
The day to day:
- Own and grow a portfolio of large French media accounts, with full accountability for retention, expansion, and revenue performance.
- Lead renewal strategy and execution, ensuring high retention rates through proactive value demonstration and commercial alignment.
- Identify, develop, and close upsell and cross-sell opportunities across Shutterstock’s full suite of products and solutions.
- Build and maintain senior-level relationships, positioning yourself as a strategic partner to key decision-makers and influencers.
- Develop and execute comprehensive account plans, aligned to client business objectives and Shutterstock’s growth strategy.
- Drive deep product adoption and engagement, leveraging insights on usage trends to unlock new revenue opportunities.
- Partner closely with New Business, Product, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to deliver seamless client experiences and identify growth levers.
- Lead onboarding and integration of new clients and solutions, ensuring rapid time-to-value and long-term success.
- Maintain a strong pipeline within existing accounts, proactively identifying whitespace and expansion opportunities.
- Utilize CRM and data insights to forecast accurately, track performance, and inform strategic decisions.
- Act as the voice of the customer internally, providing feedback to influence product innovation and go-to-market strategies.
What you’ll bring to the role:
- 5–8+ years of experience in enterprise account management, client partnerships, or sales within media, digital content, or a related industry.
- Proven track record of owning and growing large, complex accounts, consistently delivering against retention and expansion targets.
- Strong experience in renewals, contract negotiations, and multi-product solution selling.
- Deep understanding of the French media landscape and key industry dynamics is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated success in identifying and closing upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts.
- Highly strategic and commercially minded, with the ability to translate client needs into scalable revenue opportunities.
- Exceptional relationship-building skills, with experience engaging and influencing senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills and the ability to leverage insights to drive account growth.
- Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM platforms, with disciplined pipeline and account management practices.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with experience working across sales, product, marketing, and customer success teams.
- Fluent in French and English (required).
