Join our Product Development team in Edinburgh as a Senior Embedded Systems Engineer and be instrumental in designing the embedded software for our next-generation wireless audio systems.Responsibilities Develop and optimise software that seamlessly connects hardware, firmware, and wireless communication technologies to deliver unparalleled performance and reliability.Integrate and refine wireless communication solutions and protocol stacks in our software development processes.Debug embedded software, particularly in wireless communication environments.Work with operating systems such as Linux, FreeRTOS, and Zephyr.Collaborate with hardware and wireless engineers to ensure cohesive system design and implementation.Support product and platform development using both wired and wireless network protocols.Engage in cross-functional teams to deliver cutting-edge audio solutions.Contribute to architecture design using UML and established development methodologies.Review design and code, and mentor junior engineers when appropriate.Qualifications Ideally bachelor’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or related field6+ years’ experience in embedded systems developmentProven experience with wireless protocols such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee, or DECTKnowledge of networking protocols such as Ethernet, TCP/IPProficiency in C++ and object-oriented design principles in embedded firmware developmentAbility to design modular, maintainable software architectures with clear interfacesExperience with embedded operating systems and leveraging hardware capabilitiesStrong analytical skills and sound engineering judgmentWhy Join Us?
