Purpose of Role

Working within the manufacturing team of a multi-national company that manufactures, distributes, and installs covering systems for the transport industry. This individual will operate under the supervision of the Factory Manager. The purpose of the role is operating within the manufacturing team in all aspects of their day-to-day activities. This role will be based in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire.

Job Profile Description

  • Receive work order instruction from Work Supervisor
  • Liaise with storeman regarding the requirements of the material ie colour and grade
  • Complete labour scanning on and off the jobs
  • Load to carousel (material rack)
  • Use drawing/work sheets to obtain dimensions
  • Lay out fabric for measuring and cutting
  • Mark out and detail dimensions
  • Create reinforcements as per customer specifications
  • Liaise with Sheet Supervisor for inspections
  • Adhere to all aspects of health and safety policy/procedure and ensure appropriate PPE is worn and in good order
  • Assisting the team with enquiries where required
