Where outstanding customer service meets real community impact. Are you driven by delivering exceptional customer service and making a real difference in customers' everyday lives? As a Neighbourhood Assistant, you'll be at the heart of our communities - helping to create safe, well-managed environments where our customers don't just live, but truly feel at home. This is a role where no two days are the same. One moment you'll be supporting tenancy matters or resolving neighbourhood issues, the next you'll be building trusted relationships with customers and partner agencies. You'll play a key part in delivering a responsive, people-first service - supporting customers with their homes, resolving issues quickly, and helping create safe, well-managed neighbourhoods.

About the role: As a Neighbourhood Assistant, you'll help deliver a responsive, high-quality service that supports customers and keeps neighbourhoods safe, well-managed and welcoming. This is a varied, hands-on role where you'll work closely with Neighbourhood Managers to manage tenancies, respond to enquiries and resolve neighbourhood issues. You'll build strong relationships with customers and partners, carry out visits and inspections, and play a key role in supporting thriving communities. If you enjoy working with people, solving problems and making a visible difference, this is a great opportunity to develop your career in housing.

What we are looking for: We're looking for a proactive, customer-focused individual who shares our values and takes pride in delivering high-quality service to support local communities:

  • Customer Driven: You understand the impact of safe, well-managed neighbourhoods and take pride in delivering excellent service and positive customer experiences.
  • Accountability: You take ownership of your work, managing tenancy activities and enquiries accurately while following procedures to ensure compliance and high standards.
  • Develop & Learn: You're keen to learn, develop your housing knowledge and build your skills to better support residents and communities.
  • Champion Communication: You communicate clearly, keep accurate records and build strong relationships to resolve issues and improve neighbourhoods.

You’ll bring:

  • Experience working in a customer-focused or public-facing role, ideally within housing or a similar environment.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied workload while maintaining accuracy.
  • Confidence in handling tenancy-related enquiries and administrative processes.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with customers, colleagues and external partners.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, including responding to neighbourhood issues and anti-social behaviour.
  • Clear communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional and approachable manner.
  • A commitment to Equality and Diversity.
