The best Project Managers see the bigger picture. If you're a Project Manager who looks beyond plans and reporting - someone who cares about what a project actually achieves, not just how it's delivered - we're looking for a true generalist Project Manager - someone equally comfortable leading operational change and delivering technology-enabled projects, with a strong understanding of how the two come together to drive meaningful, lasting impact.

About the role: Reporting to the Head of Portfolio and Change, you'll take ownership of a varied portfolio of projects spanning both business operations and technology. You'll be responsible for making sure projects are not only delivered - but delivered well: on time, on budget, to the right quality standards, and with clear, measurable benefits that improve how the organisation operates.

We're looking for an experienced, well-rounded Project Manager who shares our values and takes pride in delivering meaningful change - using insight, structure, and strong delivery to drive successful outcomes across both business operations and technology:

  • Customer Driven: You understand the impact of projects on customers and services, keeping the end goal in sight to deliver genuine improvements in outcomes, efficiency, and sustainability from planning through to outcomes. You manage timelines, budgets, risks, and governance with rigour, ensuring projects are well controlled, on track, and deliver real value - refining how projects are delivered and staying up to date with best practice across both operational change and technology delivery. You actively look for ways to strengthen processes, outcomes, and long-term impact.
  • Champion Communication: You communicate with clarity and confidence, bringing together diverse stakeholders across the business and external partners.

A recognised project management qualification (e.g. PRINCE2, APM, Agile) or equivalent experience is required. Proven experience delivering both operational/business and technology-enabled projects, with clear evidence of achieving outcomes against time, cost, quality, and impact targets. The ability to manage complex, multi-workstream projects, including identifying and handling interdependencies and cross-service impacts. A commitment to Equality and Diversity.

Why join Selwood Housing? At Selwood Housing, we believe everyone deserves a safe, secure and affordable place to call home. As a not-for-profit housing organisation, we own and manage over 7,000 homes across the Southwest - with a bold ambition to build 1,700 new affordable homes by 2034, we're investing in the future of local people and places.

  • Competitive salary
  • Generous holiday entitlement
  • Life assurance
  • Flexible working opportunities
  • Competitive pension
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Ongoing training and development

Our Commitment to Diversity & Inclusion: At Selwood, we strive to respect the diversity of our staff. We are a Disability Confident employer and will do our very best to provide any adjustments, access, and equipment you feel you may need throughout the interview process, and during your employment with us.
