Salary: Up to £42,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Hours: 37 hours per week | Permanent

We are looking for an experienced Contracts Surveyor to join our Investment Team and play a key role in delivering high-quality investment and improvement projects across our housing stock.

The Role

Reporting to the Asset Manager, you will support the delivery of a range of capital and planned works projects, from pre-tender stage through to completion and handover. You will help ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard, while meeting all regulatory, health and safety, and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the preparation, procurement and delivery of investment and capital works projects
  • Assist with contract administration, inspections and quality control
  • Help manage budgets, costs and contractor performance
  • Work with consultants, contractors and local authorities
  • Support customer and leaseholder consultation where required
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety, building regulations and internal procedures

Performance & Customer Focus

  • Contribute to meeting investment, decent homes and energy efficiency targets
  • Support high levels of tenant satisfaction
  • Ensure complaints and enquiries are managed in line with customer standards
  • Help maintain strong compliance and audit outcomes

About You

You will have a background in building, construction or surveying, with strong knowledge of construction processes, health and safety legislation and contract management. You will be organised, commercially aware and confident working with multiple stakeholders.

Skills & Experience

  • Qualification in building, construction or surveying (or equivalent experience)
  • Professional qualification (or working towards) such as RICS, CIOB or similar
  • Experience delivering construction or investment projects
  • Strong project management, communication and IT skills
  • Knowledge of social housing and customer-focused services is desirable
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
