We're looking for an experienced and passionate Neighbourhood Manager to lead our tenancy and neighbourhood services, ensuring residents receive high-quality, customer-focused support while helping us build safe, sustainable communities.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our leadership team and make a real difference to the lives of our residents by driving service excellence, leading a dedicated team of Housing Officers, and shaping the future of neighbourhood services across STAR Housing.
About the role
- Lead and develop a team of Housing Officers, driving high performance and excellent customer service.
- Oversee all aspects of tenancy management, including tenancy sustainment, tenancy breaches, succession matters, evictions and tenancy fraud.
- Lead on neighbourhood management initiatives, community engagement activities and environmental improvement projects.
- Act as STAR Housing's organisational lead for safeguarding, ensuring vulnerable residents receive the support they need.
- Manage Anti-Social Behaviour, domestic abuse and community safety cases, working closely with partner agencies.
- Ensure compliance with housing legislation, regulatory standards and organisational policies.
- Lead service improvement projects and use performance data to drive positive outcomes for residents.
- Manage neighbourhood service budgets and support the achievement of STAR Housing's wider strategic objectives.
About you
- Significant experience within housing management, tenancy management or neighbourhood services.
- Strong leadership experience, including developing and motivating teams.
- Excellent knowledge of housing legislation, tenancy management and community safety.
- Experience managing complex Anti-Social Behaviour and safeguarding cases.
- Strong partnership-working skills, with the ability to work effectively with local authorities, support agencies and other stakeholders.
- Excellent report writing, communication and problem-solving skills.
- A customer-focused approach and a passion for delivering outstanding services.
- A relevant housing qualification (such as CIH) or equivalent experience.

Additional Information
This role is based at Ptarmigan House, Shrewsbury, with regular travel across our housing stock. A full UK driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle are essential. The role participates in an out-of-hours duty officer rota and may occasionally require evening work. Appointment is subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks, including a DBS check.
