At STAR Housing, we're committed to creating a better future and that means supporting some of our most vulnerable residents to live safely, independently, and successfully in their homes. As an Intensive Housing Management Officer, you'll be at the heart of that mission.

This is a rewarding, hands-on role where you'll deliver a person-centered housing management service, supporting residents in temporary accommodation and independent living settings to sustain their tenancies and move towards independence.

What you'll be doing:

  • Acting as the main point of contact for residents
  • Managing tenancies, including sign-ups, reviews and early interventions
  • Supporting residents with rent, benefits, and tenancy sustainment
  • Carrying out property inspections and ensuring homes are safe and compliant
  • Working with internal teams and partner agencies to provide joined-up support
  • Supporting vulnerable customers, including those facing homelessness, domestic abuse or mental health challenges

  • Experience in housing management, homelessness or supported housing
  • Strong knowledge of tenancy and support needs
  • A compassionate, resilient approach with the ability to build trust
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload and work both independently and as part of a team
