If you're a decorator who cares about doing the job properly - not just getting it done - you'll feel right at home with us. We're looking for an experienced Decorator to carry out high-quality repairs and redecoration across occupied and empty homes. This is more than just painting walls - it's about transforming spaces, delivering first-time fixes, and leaving every home better than you found it.

About the role

As a Decorator, you'll carry out high-quality painting and redecoration across occupied and void homes, helping to maintain and improve our housing stock. You'll also apply damp and mould treatments and complete associated redecoration, supporting safe and well-maintained homes. Working in a field-based role, you'll manage your own day, deliver first-time fixes, and complete work efficiently without compromising quality. You'll work both independently and with colleagues, providing a smooth, customer-focused service while following health and safety standards.

You’ll bring

  • Qualification in Painting & Decorating (City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 or equivalent practical experience)
  • Proven decorating expertise - solid experience delivering high-quality internal and external painting and redecoration across occupied and void properties
  • Experience of working in social housing
  • First-time fix mindset - focused on getting the job done right first time while maintaining efficiency and quality
  • Knowledge of best practice - including safe application of treatments such as damp and mould solutions
  • A customer-first approach - respectful, reliable, and committed to delivering a positive experience in customers' homes

  • The successful candidate will be required to complete a Basic DBS check, a Right to Work check, and a DVLA licence check.

Working hours

You will be required to be on site and ready to start at 08:00, working through to 17:00 with a one-hour unpaid lunch break.
