Skilled. Reliable. Proud of a job well done? We're looking for experienced operatives in Painting & Decorating, Roofing & Plastering to join our in‑house STAR Maintenance Team and help keep our customers' homes safe, well‑maintained and cared for.

About the role

As a Multi‑Skilled Operative, you'll use your main trade to deliver high‑quality repairs and maintenance across our housing stock, while also carrying out additional trade work where required. You'll work across responsive repairs and void properties, aiming to complete jobs right first time, with excellent customer care at the heart of everything you do.

What you'll be doing:

  • Delivering high‑quality repairs and maintenance within your core trade (Painter & Decorator, Roofer or Plasterer)
  • Undertaking additional multi‑trade work as required to help complete jobs in a single visit
  • Working safely and compliantly, following British Standards and health & safety requirements
  • Providing excellent customer service - respectful, professional and reliable in tenants' homes
  • Using mobile technology to manage and close jobs and complete accurate paperwork
  • Maintaining your van, tools, PPE and stock levels
  • Taking part in training, safeguarding, and (where required) the out‑of‑hours rota

  • Proven experience in one of the following trades: Painting & Decorating | Roofing | Plastering
  • A flexible, multi‑skilled mindset and pride in delivering quality workmanship
  • Strong customer focus and a 'get it right first time' approach
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Commitment to high standards, safety and teamwork
