The strongest decisions are driven by data - and great surveyors make that possible. We are looking for an Asset Surveyor who understands that behind every investment, every improvement programme, and every safe home is one critical foundation: accurate, reliable insight. In this role, you won't just collect information - you'll create the clarity that shapes how we manage and invest in our homes. Through a programme of stock condition surveys, EPCs and HHSRS assessments, you'll provide the evidence we need to make confident, informed decisions across our portfolio.

About the role

As an Asset Surveyor, you'll play a key role in building a clear, accurate understanding of our housing portfolio. Delivering a programme of stock condition surveys, EPCs and HHSRS assessments, you'll ensure our property data reflects the reality on site - supporting informed decision-making, investment planning and regulatory compliance. Working across a varied portfolio, you'll identify defects, assess risk and highlight priorities, helping to shape safer, more efficient homes. This is a hands-on, field-based role where your attention to detail and technical insight directly influence the quality, safety and long-term performance of our homes.

What we're looking for

  • Customer Driven: You understand how your work impacts customers, ensuring homes are safe, compliant and fit for purpose.
  • Accountability: You take ownership of your surveys, delivering stock condition, EPC and HHSRS assessments with accuracy and consistency, ensuring data can be trusted to inform decisions.
  • Develop & Learn: You continuously develop your technical knowledge, staying up to date with building, energy and safety standards to improve how we assess our homes.
  • Champion Communication: You communicate clearly, translating technical findings into actionable insights and working with stakeholders to address risks and priorities.

You’ll bring:

  • Experience in stock condition surveys or property inspections, with a strong eye for detail.
  • Knowledge of building construction, common defects and maintenance requirements.
  • Experience of, or exposure to, EPCs and HHSRS assessments.
  • A sound understanding of health & safety and housing standards, with a focus on compliance.
  • The ability to collect, manage and interpret asset data accurately.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate findings into practical insight.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use.
  • A commitment to Equality and Diversity.

Pre-employment requirements:

  • The successful candidate will be required to undergo Right to Work and Basic DBS checks.
