Shropshire Green Energy Centre Ltd is currently recruiting Trainee Cavity Wall Insulation Installers and General Labourers to join our growing team, working on large-scale domestic insulation contracts. You will be part of a close-knit, hardworking team installing Bonded Bead and White Wool insulation in cavity walls and lofts.
What Weβre Looking For:
We are seeking individuals who:
- Are reliable and enthusiastic team players
- Have good manual dexterity and are comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
- Ideally have a background in construction (not essential)
- Are self-motivated and able to use initiative
- Have a professional manner when interacting with the public
- Can follow written and spoken instructions
- Have a good level of literacy and numeracy
- Hold or are willing to obtain a current Criminal Reference Check
Full training will be providedβno previous insulation experience required.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Drill holes in external walls following a set pattern, working off ladders or access equipment
- Install insulation materials as per system designer specifications
- Re-point drill holes to closely match existing mortar
- Ensure all work areas are cleaned, debris is removed, and surroundings are left tidy
- Load materials and drive to and from sites using a company vehicle
- Complete all required paperwork accurately
- Attend and pass ACOPs and CSCS training/tests where applicable
- Adhere to health & safety procedures at all times
- Maintain a flexible approach to hours and work locations
- Present a professional and courteous attitude on-site
