Shropshire Council's Passenger Transport Group is looking for a Vehicle Management Officer who will work as part of the Vehicle Management Team overseeing the Council fleet of 200+ vehicles and 300+ items of plant. This role provides advice and support to various teams across the Council in relation to the vehicles they operate to deliver their service. We are seeking a candidate with a strong background in transport and procurement, experienced in managing complex procurement activities, maintaining accurate vehicle records, overseeing service schedules, and administering fuel cards, among other responsibilities. You will be skilled in prioritising tasks and multitasking effectively to ensure all deadlines are met. A strong understanding of transport legislation, relevant policies, and alternative-fuel vehicle technologies is essential.
