Responsibilities
- Provide a strategic business partnering approach to lead the development of commercial contract management best practice across the Council and drive commercial outcomes for non‑pay spend.
- Lead the development and delivery of policy, strategy, guidance and training on contract management programmes within strict audit and risk mitigation regimes.
- Lead the delivery, operationalisation and continuous improvement of commercial contract management processes and systems.
Qualifications
- Significant and demonstrable knowledge and understanding of various current contracts documentation, systems and processes.
- Proven experience in commercial procurement and contract management best practices.
- Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to design policy and training materials and deliver them across the organisation.
