We are expanding our team to deliver the newly devolved street cleaning service for the Shrewsbury Parish. Shrewsbury Town Council is building a brand-new Street Cleaning Team, and we are looking for dedicated, enthusiastic individuals to join us.
We are now recruiting for Street Cleansing Operatives who will play a key role in shaping this fresh, forward-thinking service. Working mainly outdoors, in all weather conditions, you will help deliver essential street cleaning services across Shrewsbury. If you take pride in your work, enjoy being out and about, and want a role where you can see the difference, we would love to hear from you.
The successful candidates will work with the team and team leader to address street cleaning issues across the Shrewsbury parish. The roles involve a flexible 7-day rota - your normal working week will be 37 hours, working 5 out of 7 days (including Sat & Sun) – with a minimum of one weekend working per month.
A full UK manual Driving Licence is essential. Training on the use of council equipment will be provided, also a uniform and the required PPE.
