Overview

Shrewsbury School is looking for a motivated and customer-focused IT Technician to join our busy IT Department.

Supporting staff and pupils across the school and its associated prep schools, you'll play a key role in delivering reliable, high-quality IT services.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first and second-line technical support, troubleshooting hardware, software and network issues.
  • Install, configure and maintain PCs, laptops and peripherals.
  • Support Microsoft Windows, Microsoft365 and Entra ID environments.
  • Assist with Share Point, server and network administration.
  • Manage and resolve helpdesk tickets, work with third‑party suppliers and support ongoing IT projects.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in an IT support or helpdesk role.
  • Level2 ICT qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
