We are always on the look-out for talented individuals to join our M&E client and are currently looking to fill the vital role of Finance Controller, overseeing the entire financial management of the business. They are a trusted provider of mechanical, electrical, and building refurbishment services across England and Wales. Experience working in the construction sector is a must.
We would like you to have experience of the following:
- Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts
- Produce financial statements and reports
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Analyse financial performance and variances
- Budgeting & Forecasting
- Prepare annual budgets
- Manage cashflow forecasting
- Monitor company spending against budgets
- Support strategic financial planning
- Cashflow & Treasury Management
- Oversee company cashflow
- Manage banking relationships
- Monitor debtor and creditor positions
- Ensure sufficient working capital
- Ensure compliance with
- HMRC requirements
- VAT regulations
- PAYE and payroll legislation
- Companies House filings
- Coordinate audits and liaise with external accountants
- Maintain financial controls and procedures
- Payroll & Purchase Ledger Oversight
- Supervise payroll processes
- Oversee invoicing, payments, and reconciliations
- Manage credit control functions
- Commercial Support
- Analyse profitability of projects, contracts, or departments
- Support pricing decisions and cost control
- Assist with tenders, investment decisions, and business growth planning
About You:
You will need experience working in the construction sector using XERO and producing management accounts, managing payroll, VAT, and financial reconciliations. You would be joining an established management and finance team whom you will need to direct and influence in a robust manner. You should be AAT qualified, part-qualified, or fully qualified ACCA/CIMA/AC, ideally with a degree in finance or accounting.
