We are looking for an enthusiastic Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our Inpatient therapy team at RSH for a 9-month maternity leave cover. This post involves working clinically on our Oncology ward at RSH, collaborating with a Band 5 and 6 Physiotherapist. The post holder will work closely with the Macmillan Integrated Therapy Team to provide expert Oncology knowledge and advice to Therapy colleagues within the wider Inpatient team.
The position is based at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.
The role includes involvement in the in-service training rota as well as clinical supervision of therapy staff and students.
Participation in the weekend discharge rota will be expected.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will treat Oncology patients on Ward 23, including rehabilitation and discharge planning, which may be complex.
