The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Colorectal team working collaboratively to develop a new gold standard for Colorectal cancer.

This fixed term/secondment post will be responsible for the Project Management of the Colorectal Cancer Care team based at the Community Diagnostic Centre, Hollinswood House with the requirement for some travel between the two hospital base sites.

The post holder will provide change leadership and specialist knowledge, skills and experience in process and systems improvement across the Trust.

In addition, the post holder will support the review of existing processes and pathways and be responsible for implementation of new ways of working to improve the care of patients with colorectal cancer and aid early diagnosis.

The post holder will review, improve and monitor patient pathways along with assisting in integration of FIT screening into patient pathways.

The post holder will engage with cancer clinical multi-disciplinary teams, cancer specialist nurses, and operational managers in the design of patient pathways whilst taking account of the impact of new technologies and new working environments, including the potential for utilizing digital health technologies within patient care.

The post holder will need to motivate others to ensure collaborative working in the design of new ways of working and provide support to staff during the change process to overcome resistance to change. They will be responsible for ensuring the project team achieves their objectives, which requires excellent communication and negotiation skills to influence stakeholders from across a range of organisations.

The post holder will be responsible for organizing and ensuring regular patient contact and involvement to influence the project to ensure it is patient-focused.

You will join the team of eight experienced nurses (a combination of Band 7 and Band 6 colleagues) based at The Shrewsbury and Telford Trust who comprise the current Colorectal CNS team and a further team based at Hollinswood House comprising of a Lead Nurse, three Clinical Nurse Specialists, and Secretarial support role working closely with both the Operational and Centre Manager.
