Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Pallet Grader & Repairer to join our team based in Rackheath, Norwich.

In this role you will inspect, grade, sort and repair wooden pallets to a high standard. You will ensure pallets are safe, stable, and meet quality and delivery targets. You will also maintain a clean and safe working environment, follow health & safety protocols, and contribute to team productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming pallets for defects, warping, damage, broken boards, nails, etc, and grade them accordingly.
• Repair damaged pallets using manual and powered tools (e.g. pneumatic nail guns, reciprocating saws, hand tools) ensuring they meet required standards.
• Sort and segregate pallets based on grade/condition and ensure correct routing for rework or disposal.
• Meet production, quality and attendance targets, and work efficiently to agreed schedules
• Perform general housekeeping and manual handling tasks: moving pallets, maintaining a tidy work area, cleaning and organising.
• Adhere to all company safety, quality and environmental procedures and report any hazards or quality issues.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in pallet repair, grading or a similar manual/warehouse setting is preferred.
• Good knowledge of using hand tools and power tools (training can be provided for specific equipment).
• Ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods and work in a physically demanding environment.
• Strong attention to detail when inspecting and repairing pallets, good workmanship.
• Good time-keeping, reliability and the ability to follow instructions and work well in a team.
• Basic communication skills willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities.
• Awareness of health & safety practices.

Working Hours

• Flexible to suit the candidate with overtime available

Pay

• Competitive hourly rate based on experience with option for overtime
