Contribute to the safe and timely movement and transportation of clinical and industrial waste as part of the transportation team, providing excellent customer service while ensuring compliance with the EU Working Time Directive, ADR Transportation Regulations, and corporate procedures.
Key Job Activities
- Carry out daily schedules to agreed routes and timings.
- Complete all required documentation related to drivers' hours, WTD, digital tachographs, vehicle weight limits and speed limits.
- Comply with all statutory requirements of the Road Traffic Act and other relevant legislation, including ADR/Hazardous goods legislation.
- Follow company standard operating procedures and act as the customer contact at the delivery point of service.
- Maintain a polite and courteous manner towards customers and road users at all times.
- Attend specific work instructions, trainings and staff meetings as required.
- Undertake ad-hoc duties, display a flexible approach to working times and shifts, and comply with reasonable management requests.
- Report any accident or incident to management promptly and complete all required documentation.
- Complete vehicle checks prior to use, notify any defect to Service Coordinators by filing the appropriate documentation.
Required Education
High School or equivalent (GCSE).
Experience & Certifications
Previous driving experience preferred.
Required: LGV Class 1 Licence, Driver CPC.
Preferred: ADR Training and ADR certificate packages 6.1/6.2. Full Driver CPC, Digi Card, and ADR certificate are highly desirable.
