LOCUM NURSING ASSOCIATE – NORTH LONDON

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Nursing Associate to provide locum cover across Hubs in North London during October and November.

This is a flexible opportunity for a Nursing Associate looking to pick up additional locum sessions alongside existing commitments, with the option to cover individual dates or multiple sessions.

Dates & Sessions

Finsbury Park

  • Tuesday 7th October – 12:30–16:00
  • Tuesday 4th November – 12:30–16:00


Seven Sisters

  • Sunday 12th October – 11:00–16:30
  • Tuesday 18th November – 11:00–16:00


The Role


The successful Nursing Associate will work as part of the primary care team, supporting GPs, Nurses and other Clinical staff with a variety of Patient-facing Clinical duties.


Responsibilities may include:

  • Phlebotomy and taking blood samples
  • Wound care and dressing changes
  • Long-term condition (LTC) monitoring and reviews
  • Blood pressure checks
  • Height and weight measurements
  • Supporting GPs during clinics where required
  • Assisting the wider clinical team with patient care
  • Supporting general clinical room preparation
  • Stock monitoring and management at the hub site
  • Ensuring clinical areas are appropriately stocked and prepared
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records


Computer System

EMIS Web

Previous experience using EMIS Web would be beneficial, particularly within a GP surgery or primary care setting.


About You

We are looking for a Nursing Associate who is:

  • Experienced working within a GP surgery, primary care or similar clinical environment
  • Confident carrying out routine clinical procedures
  • Comfortable working independently while knowing when to escalate concerns
  • Professional, reliable and patient-focused
  • Able to communicate effectively with patients and the wider multidisciplinary team
  • Organised and able to manage a varied workload
  • Confident maintaining accurate clinical documentation
  • Able to work within their professional scope of practice
