Role Description

The UK IT Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering information technology projects in support of the Broadfield platform. This role focuses on the disciplined delivery of approved IT initiatives, including application implementations, system enhancements, integrations, and infrastructure-related projects.

The UK IT Project Manager works closely with Technology, Finance, Legal Operations, and external vendors to manage scope, schedule, budget, risks, and dependencies across multiple concurrent projects. The role is accountable for day-to-day project execution, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in accordance with established IT standards and governance. This position requires strong project management fundamentals, experience operating in professional services environments, and the ability to translate defined business and technical requirements into executable project plans. Success in the role depends on strong execution, proactive risk management, and effective coordination across technical and non-technical teams.

Project Planning & Execution

  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of IT projects from initiation through implementation and closure.
  • Define and manage project scope, objectives, assumptions, dependencies, and success criteria in partnership with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, and resource plans.
  • Track project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation and resolution plans.
  • Ensure projects adhere to approved scope, timelines, budgets, and quality expectations.

Stakeholder & Team Coordination

  • Serve as the primary point of coordination for assigned IT projects.
  • Facilitate project meetings, status reviews, and working sessions with internal teams and vendors.
  • Coordinate cross-functional resources to manage dependencies and ensure timely delivery of project work streams.
  • Provide clear, consistent communication regarding project status, risks, issues, and decisions.
  • Coordinate work with external vendors and implementation partners, tracking deliverables and timelines.
  • Monitor vendor performance against contractual and project expectations.
  • Support testing, deployment, and go-live activities in collaboration with technical teams.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare and distribute regular project status reports, milestone updates, and risk summaries.
  • Maintain project documentation, including project plans, schedules, risk logs, decision logs, and action items.
  • Participate in post-implementation reviews to assess outcomes and identify opportunities for improvement.

Project Management Practices

  • Apply standard project management methodologies (waterfall, agile, or hybrid) based on project requirements and organizational standards.
  • Utilize approved project management tools and templates to support consistent delivery and reporting.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of IT project delivery processes and practices.

Position Requirements

Education & Credentials

  • University degree strongly preferred.
  • Other credentials as applicable or preferred.

Knowledge & Experience

  • 5–10 years of experience managing information technology projects.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering application implementations, system enhancements, integrations, or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and delivery controls.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and managing third-party vendors.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in a structured, organized manner.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey project status and issues.
  • Detail-oriented, execution-focused, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in legal or professional services environments is a plus but not required.
