Join us and you’ll be part of a fast‑paced team that provide a key function to the success of Showsec. The role provides a front‑line support service to national operations teams through engagement, co‑ordination, first touch resolution of the staffing database.
The Department is open seven days a week. The hours are set according to business needs and may vary throughout the year on a rota.
What you will be doing
- Acting as the first point of contact for casual workers, delivering friendly, professional service and resolving queries promptly.
- Guiding workers through the Showsec App process to encourage independent navigation rather than manual shift booking
- Managing operational change requests (e.g., late increases, decreases, or cancellations).
- Creating engaging adverts to mobilise the workforce for upcoming shifts.
- Using data, judgement, and collaboration to find efficient solutions to critical staffing issues.
- Following communication procedures and policies to provide timely, appropriate solutions and alternatives.
- Working closely with Operations to secure full event coverage—agreeing strategies such as splitting shifts, arranging transport, and engaging approved labour providers when necessary.
- Collaborating with other departments to address staffing gaps, for example liaising with Recruitment and Training to upskill when trends show shortages in specific areas or venues.

What we need from you
- Right to Work in the UK**
- Experience within a busy office environment
- Strong administration skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment
- Maths GCSE or equivalent (C or above)**
- English GCSE or equivalent (C or above)**
