The Role

Showbie is looking for an experienced Senior Account Manager - EdTech SaaS Sales to drive customer retention, expansion, and recurring revenue growth across our existing customer base.

This is a remote role based in the United Kingdom, with occasional travel required for customer meetings, team days, or business needs.

This is a commercial sales role with responsibility for ARR, Net Revenue Retention (NRR), renewals, upsell, expansion, and accurate revenue forecasting. You will own a portfolio of customer accounts, build strong relationships with key stakeholders, identify growth opportunities, manage renewal risk, and ensure customers continue to see long-term value from Showbie.

You will work with a diverse range of customers, including Multi-Academy Trusts, districts, and schools of all sizes, from SMB to Enterprise, both in the UK and globally.

You will need to be confident engaging with senior and C-level stakeholders within the EdTech sector, including leading customer meetings independently. This role requires the ability to manage strategic conversations, ask strong discovery questions, uncover commercial risk, and move renewal and expansion opportunities forward without needing senior support in every customer meeting.

This role is ideal for someone with strong SaaS account management experience within EdTech, who enjoys combining customer partnership with commercial ownership. You will be expected to manage opportunities confidently, use data to make informed decisions, and maintain a clear and accurate forecast.

Depending on performance and alignment, there may be an opportunity for this role to evolve into an Account Management Team Lead. As a Senior Account Manager, you will be expected to mentor the wider team through coaching, sharing best practices, and helping to raise the standard of commercial account management across the team.

What You’ll Do

Revenue Retention & Growth

  • Manage a portfolio of existing customer accounts, driving renewals, expansion opportunities, seat growth, and product upsells.
  • Take ownership of ARR, NRR, renewal, upsell, and growth targets across your account base.
  • Build and execute account plans that identify risks, growth opportunities, stakeholder engagement strategies, and next steps.
  • Proactively identify churn risks and create clear mitigation plans.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting of renewals, upsell opportunities, and expansion pipeline.
  • Lead commercial conversations with confidence, including pricing, procurement, renewal timelines, and negotiation.

SaaS Account Management

  • Develop strong, trusted relationships with key customer stakeholders, senior decision-makers, and C-level contacts.
  • Lead customer meetings independently, including renewal conversations, commercial reviews, discovery meetings, and strategic account discussions.
  • Drive product adoption and customer value realisation to support long-term retention and expansion.
  • Use customer data, product usage, account health indicators, and commercial insight to prioritise activity and make informed decisions.
  • Run structured customer meetings, including discovery calls, renewal conversations, business reviews, and growth discussions.
  • Ensure customers clearly understand the value they are receiving from Showbie throughout the year, not just at renewal.

Opportunity Management & Forecasting

  • Manage opportunities through the full account management sales cycle, from discovery and qualification through to close.
  • Maintain strong CRM hygiene, ensuring opportunities, next steps, close dates, stakeholders, risks, and forecast categories are accurate.
  • Use data and clear qualification methods to assess whether opportunities are likely to close.
  • Provide clear and reliable forecast updates to Sales Leadership.
  • Identify pipeline risk early and take action to improve deal progression.

Coaching & Team Contribution

  • Act as a senior member of the Account Management team, supporting colleagues through coaching, guidance, and sharing best practice.
  • Help Account Managers improve commercial acumen, customer engagement, opportunity management, and forecasting discipline.
  • Contribute to team discussions around renewals, upsell strategy, account planning, and customer risk.
  • Support the development of a high-performing, accountable, and customer-focused Account Management culture.
  • Demonstrate the behaviours and standards required for future progression into a Team Lead role.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in EdTech within a SaaS environment.
  • Strong experience in sales and account management, customer growth, renewals, upsell, or expansion roles.
  • A proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
  • Strong understanding of ARR, NRR, retention, churn, expansion revenue, and recurring revenue growth.
  • C-level stakeholder experience within the EdTech sector, with the ability to independently lead customer meetings, renewal conversations, commercial discussions, and strategic account reviews.
  • Experience using data to make informed decisions, identify account risk, prioritise opportunities, and support customer conversations.
  • Strong opportunity management skills, including qualification, stakeholder mapping, next-step management, and close planning.
  • Demonstrated ability to forecast accurately and maintain high standards of CRM hygiene.
  • Coaching experience as a Senior Account Manager, including supporting peers or wider team members with account strategy, opportunity management, or commercial conversations.
  • Self-motivated, commercially minded, and comfortable operating in a growing SaaS environment.

Benefits

  • £40,000 - £50,000 base salary, depending on experience.
  • Uncapped commission, paid monthly.
  • BUPA healthcare.
  • Remote-first working environment.
  • Company equipment to support your role.
  • Occasional travel for customer meetings, team days, or business needs.
  • Opportunity to grow into an Account Management Team Lead role for the right candidate.
