A commercially focused Marketing Manager to drive ticket sales, bookings and audience growth across our live events and venues.

About Showbase

Showbase designs, builds and delivers temporary structures, hospitality environments and large-scale event infrastructure across the UK. Our clients include major landowners and developers (Renaker, Tatton Estate), hospitality groups (New World Trading Company, The Curling Club) and established festival organisers (RHS, Happy Place, Lost Village). Beyond our support for these clients, we create and operate our own public-facing venues and live experiences. These projects span ticketed events, hospitality-led concepts and branded activations – each requiring clear positioning, disciplined planning and strong commercial performance.

We are seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to take ownership of campaign strategy and delivery across this growing portfolio, driving audience growth, ticket sales and measurable results across our in-house events and selected client projects.

The Role

This is a commercially focused marketing role with responsibility for driving measurable performance across our events and venues. You will plan and deliver end-to-end campaigns — from launch strategy and audience targeting through to final sales push — ensuring each project achieves clear ticket sales, booking and revenue objectives. You will own campaign timelines, channel strategy and performance tracking, balancing creative direction with disciplined execution. This includes managing budgets, optimising spend and reporting clearly on return on investment. The role requires someone confident working across multiple event formats and price points, capable of switching between strategic planning and hands-on campaign delivery. You will work closely with Event Project Managers, Operations, Finance and external creatives, ensuring marketing activity aligns with event positioning, pricing and operational timelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver end-to-end marketing campaigns for in-house events and selected client projects.
  • Plan campaign launches, audience targeting and channel strategy to drive ticket sales and bookings.
  • Manage paid and organic channels, optimising performance against revenue targets.
  • Build and manage campaign budgets, monitoring spend and reporting on ROI.
  • Track performance metrics including ticket sales velocity, conversion rates and cost per acquisition.
  • Coordinate creative assets, copy and messaging to ensure clarity and commercial effectiveness.
  • Align campaign timelines with Event Project Managers and Operations to support delivery milestones.
  • Oversee CRM, email marketing and audience engagement activity where applicable.
  • Analyse campaign performance and produce post-event reports with actionable insights.
  • Support the ongoing marketing of Showbase’s services and venue portfolio.

Required Experience & Skills

  • Proven experience marketing public-facing or ticketed events from launch through to live delivery.
  • Experience managing five-figure campaign budgets and tracking performance against revenue targets.
  • Comfortable managing paid digital campaigns (e.g. Meta, Google or similar) with clear performance objectives.
  • Strong understanding of conversion metrics including cost per acquisition, return on ad spend and ticket sales velocity.
  • Confident balancing creative messaging with commercial performance.
  • Highly organised, able to manage multiple concurrent campaigns.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with Event Project Managers, Operations and Finance teams.
  • Analytical and performance-driven, able to adjust campaigns based on data.
  • Based in the North West (Manchester / Liverpool region).

Additional Benefits

  • Competitive salary based on experience.
  • Genuine ownership of campaigns and commercial performance within agreed budgets.
  • Company laptop and phone number.

Please note, you will need your own vehicle transport to get to our offices, as they are not on public transport. Please consider our location when applying.
