Key Responsibilities
- Manage diaries, meetings, appointments and travel arrangements as required.
- Prepare meeting agendas and papers, take minutes, record actions and monitor follow-ups.
- Manage email correspondence, telephone enquiries, expenses and confidential information professionally.
- Support SMT and general business administration, including company events, corporate hospitality, holiday management, TBT sign-offs and aspects of employee onboarding.
- Coordinate operational projects, maintaining action plans, deadlines and progress reports.
- Support ISO compliance, internal audits, third-party H&S audits and the tracking of resulting actions.
- Assist with accident, injury and near-miss records, follow-ups and health and safety documentation.
- Maintain competency, training and development matrices, coordinating training bookings with departments.
- Assist with the preparation of reports, policies, procedures and controlled documentation.
- Support effective communication across commercial, operational and support functions.
- Undertake any other duties reasonably requested by the Commercial Director, Operations Director or SMT, within the capabilities of the role.
Person Specification
- At least two years' experience in a similar administrative, business support or operations coordination role, ideally within the waste, construction or a related industry.
- Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office 365, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Teams.
- Ability to work independently, use initiative and build effective relationships across all levels of the business.
- Experience or knowledge of ISO compliance, internal auditing and/or health and safety would be advantageous.
- Understanding of the quote-to-job process flow and experience in document control would be desirable.
- Professional, flexible and customer-focused approach.
