ShortList Recruitment have an exciting opportunity for a BI Developer to join a well-established client in Leicester who are growing their IT function. The company is private equity backed and is investing significantly into the IT function to ensure that it better supports the overall business goals.
As a BI Developer, you’ll be responsible for building and refining BI solutions that showcase actionable insights across the organisation. You’ll work through a defined backlog of dashboard topics while improving the maturity and reliability of the data warehouse.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver dashboards and reports across key business areas.
- Improve data warehouse processes through better logging, documentation and structure.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and prioritise deliverables.
- Apply Agile and DevOps principles to manage the BI backlog and streamline delivery.
- Help establish BI best practices and contribute to shaping the long-term data strategy.
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as a BI Developer / Analyst.
- Strong SQL development skills.
- Proficiency with Power BI for dashboard design and delivery.
- Familiarity with Azure SQL (exposure rather than deep experience required).
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum and backlog management methodologies.
The BI Developer role is offering a salary of up to £55,000 plus great benefits. The role is based in Leicester and offers hybrid working with at least 1 day required onsite per week. It is commutable from Birmingham, Coventry, Derby, Nottingham and Loughborough.
